I can’t believe I’ve been in holidays during a whole week and haven’t even managed to post anything. I’ve got loads of things to tell you about since last time! *sees f-list running away*

These holidays have been quite useless. I haven’t worked my classes or anything, something that I should start thinking about sooner or later – and preferably before the bi-annual exams :D

Anyways, being sick will be my excuse for this post. I mean, really, I should check again because I have to be feverish to think about stuff like this.


Some of you must remember of Alex Kidd. It was a video game in the eighties/nineties, I know it was on my old SEGA console, and my bro and I kept playing to it even if I hardly ever made the first levels on my own.

The first thing I did when the "Post an entry" page appeared was to change the "Current Mood" to tired.

I've had a busy week. A very busy one. I don't even know what to start with, but this is gonna be the same for every week from now to May, so let's cheer up!

I'm still looking for a professional training. I've made a lot of calls already and have sent three cover letters and have another address to send one. The thing is, as most of you must know, you never send enough. I'll have to call someone back tomorrow because he was busy when I called this afternoon, I hope he'll be another "Yes, send me your cover letter, please" answer.
This is kind of more complicated than I had imagined, or simply it doesn't feel the same when you're the one making the calls, compared to seeing your friends doing these things.

Still it's kind of motivating on itself, I quite like it.
And I'd like it very much more (!) if someone could call me back for an interview. And accept my request.


So basically, that's what I've been doing since last week, anytime I had some spare time. Tonight is the only evening of the week I have no classes. I'm having dinner with an old friend, well, probably the only old friend I have, actually! We were in the same classes in 1ère and Terminale (just before graduating), and it's been a while we haven't seen each other. We were rather good buddies.

Talking about buddies, I'm really glad I got some mail from the dear toodelicious and jacketpotato :) I'm doing my best to answer to the two of you as fast as I can. Oh and I think I've been totally lacking of good manners and I haven't welcomed these new friends I've made recently :) Welcome to you guys, I hope you'll do just fine here!

Also I couldn't make any huge review or squee post like most of the fandom community, but just so you know, as far as I'm concerned, Merlin's series two ruuuules *giggles*
Oh and, about that, would anyone like to beta read this Merlin/Morgana fanfic I've talked about? My post at merlin_betas was left unanswered (that may be because I scared everyone with the list of warnings, but that was just to be sure not to leave anything behind :p It's not that bad, I swear!)


Oh and there's another thing I have to talk about. You see, everyday I'm walking down that corridor to get out of my residence, and finally I noticed a poster, a very clever poster pinned on the billboard on the outside of the "Social Service" bureau, next to the fitness club.
I'll let you look at it, it's the one on the right.
Translation : This is a girl who likes girls. But this girl who likes girls doesn't like girls who don't like girls who like girls. This sentence is complicated but still less complicated than her life as a homosexual student.
That's it. Just little things like that, that make me proud of the place I'm living in, the culture and people that surround me.


So then, it looks like I've ran out of things to say. Plus I'm gonna be late.

Aaaand, to keep going with the good news and because there's no way I'm boring you with the Uni without saying a word about fandom!
I'll let you know that we're on Friday. Which means tomorrow is Saturday. Which means it's the MERLIN-SERIES-2-DAY !!! Woooot :D

Also, I've written a more-than-one-thousand-words fic for mystory_lottery draw! I'm only waiting for a nice beta-reader to answer my request atmerlin_betasand it will probably need to be worked on a bit but it'll be soon posted! Just in case any of you might be interested to come back to have a look at it once it's posted, I'm giving you my very first Merlin/Morgana fanfic! What do you think? 

Today I moved back into my student room. We couldn't bring all my stuff at once, so we'll have to drive again to Poitiers next week, but it's fine. The room is exactly the same as last year unless I'm on the 2nd floor, so the view from the window is a few meters higher.
Oh and also, the door is orange.

I can't say there's any other difference with my last room. Well, apart from the insects population. The bugs are attracted by the light of my room and the window's open, however there are a few of them I had never met before. Maybe next year I'll get a room on the 3rd floor and will start a comparative analysis of the flying habits of the local bugs!


Tomorrow I'm having lunch at my friend's, Lucile, and we're spending the afternoon together, which is really awesome! We haven't seen each other since June, so I'm afraid we're gonna talk an awful lot :p I really like this girl, we were born on the same day, which is quite funny, and we're totally fan of the same things. She's probably the only fangirl I know *physically*! Lol


I took my laptop the the computer-guy a few days ago (and, yes, computer-guy isn't probably the proper word for this job but I'm too tired to look it up in the dictionnary!) to add some RAM memory. I was kind of happy he didn't say a word about my Merlin desktop. However he told me that I could change the configuration so that when I push the small button next to the on/off one, so that "the screen gets black just like in those american movies!"
I already knew that, but I'm just wondering - Why did he think I could need to suddenly hide the content of my screen from someone? Do I look like I'm secretely watching porn?! Lol *Which I am not, thank you very much. NC-17 fanfics are much better :D* Any supposition is welcome!




And, hey, have you noticed the new layout? Yeah, hard to miss. So, yellow? A good choice? I don't know, I wanted something more colourful for once! Still starring Merlin's cast though! It seems I'm not ready to get rid of these guys yet :D
Of course seeing the trailer last night didn't help. My reaction was along the lines of "Hoooly..." / like everyone! I'm really yearning to get the show back!!

Since I'm talking about Merlin, I might have at least an idea of fanfic for my story_lottery draw ;)
I still have to do a bit of research, and ensure myself that I can write something coherent about this, and something original (Considering the amount of fanfic that has been done about this fandom, I know the thematic has already been subject of many fics. Writing for popular fandoms is a challenge in itself!)
But I'm definetely gonna look into the idea. To be continued!
